Fox Model 460 Bassoon

This entry level professional bassoon produces the power, projection, great intonation, and resonance associated with the Fox professional models. Patterned after the Fox model 660, this thick-walled bassoon has a singing, flexible tenor register ideal for soloists and orchestral musicians. The modern, compact design of the Fox 460 comes with all the keywork a professional bassoonist needs, including the high A bridge to whisper key to facilitate the response of high A and Bb. 

Body: Red Maple, carefully selected and aged in Fox's own facilities; compact model with long German (white synthetic ivory) bell ring

Features include: Natural rubber linings in the wing joint and small bore of the boot joint; Silver water tubes extending into the bore; Body Lock; Full German system with silver plating; High D and high E keys; Rollers on F, Ab, Eb, Db, right thumb Bb and F# in combination with a crowned E key; High A bridge to whisper key; Right hand whisper key lock, rotary style

Bocals: 2 professional Fox B bocals included. Unless otherwise requested, the standard bocals will include #2 and #3 lengths.

Accessories: Compact case with both shoulder and backpack straps, 2 high-quality bassoon reeds, Hand rest, Neck strap, Seat strap, Microfiber swabs for wing and boot joints, Care cloth

Additional Options: Right thumb Ab-Bb trill key, Left or right hand Eb trill key, Balance hanger

Repair/Warranty Policy: Within one year, the instrument may be returned to the factory for fine tuning, acoustical adjustment, and mechanical servicing, with costs limited to freight and parts.
