RDG Woodwinds announces an opening for a woodwind repair technician to begin in Fall 2018 or at earliest availability. Our new employee will be working primarily on clarinets, but knowledge of double reed repair is a strong plus. Applicants should have prior formal training in woodwind repair via instrument repair vocational program, an apprenticeship, or both. Previous professional repair experience is helpful but not required. The new repair technician may receive some additional on-the-job training as needed.
RDG Woodwinds is a team-oriented environment. Applicants should feel comfortable communicating with customers and working with colleagues to ensure customer satisfaction. We wish to hire someone seeking long term employment. We may be willing to consider an independent repair person who wishes to work within the RDG environment. Please contact us if you are interested in discussing this option. At this time, we are unable to provide short term internships or apprenticeships.
